What is cash-point?
Cash-point is a means of online payment that is used in www.koreatraveltimes.com The cash-point can be purchased through payments by a credit card, transfer from a bank account or payments to a KTT bank account (Credit cards issued from a foreign country cannot be accepted.).

How to purchase and use ‘cash-point’?
All payments for paid-services in www.koreatraveltimes.com can be made only by the points in ‘cash-point’. Details on the cash-point are as follows:

1) Charge of Points (US$ 1 = 1 point)

- Koreans: Payment by a credit card or a Korean mobile (mobile-banking) or payment to a KTT bank account.
* Served in the Korean language and credit cards issued from a foreign country cannot be accepted.

- Foreigners: Payment to a KTT bank account only.
* An email confirmation of the payment is required in order for your request to be actioned promptly.

2) Details on the charge/discharge of the cash-point:
All details of cash-point such as contents or other services that you purchased from your points in the cash-point are available in ‘My Page’.

3) Frequently asked questions about ‘cash-point’:

(1) What is the cash-point?
Cash-point is the name of online money that is used in www.koreatraveltimes.com. Paid services are only available with points in the cash-point.

(2) Can the paid-services be available to non-KTT online members?
You should be a KTT online member in order to enjoy the paid-services. Membership is free.

(3) How can I charge the points in my cash-point?
Log on [My Page > Charge of Cash-point] where a window for the charge of points will open. Charge the points you need by selecting a payment method and completing the online process.

(4) What is the value of points in cash-point?
One point in cash-point is equal to one US dollar or KRW 1,200.

(5) How can I see the details of contents that I purchased?
Log on [My Page > Detailed records of my contents] where details of all content that you purchased for the last one year are available.

(6) Can I get a refund for unused points?
It is not possible to have a refund after you make payments through the points in your cash-point, with the exception of the following cases - in these cases, the balance of points in your cash-point will be returned to you by cash:
i) Services in www.koreatraveltimes.com are not available permanently, due to the liability on KTT or the services are suspended for more than three days without a prior notice (excluding some unavoidable circumstances like a system checkup)
ii) There are no online paid-services available due to the liability on KTT.
iii) KTT online membership is suspended or withdrawn by compulsion due to the breach of members’ responsibilities. Those who are under this case and want a refund should make direct contact with the customer center in www.koreatraveltimes.com, to inform KTT of the reason of refund and place their request.

(7) In case points in cash-point were used fraudulently by a third party who knows your ID and password.
Online member’s ID and password are totally under the member’s responsibility. It is deemed that the person who opened an ID and the person who logged on through the ID are the same person. KTT is not responsible for any fraudulent use of ID, caused by the members’ neglect. However, should such a case occur with your ID, please immediately inform [help@traveltimes.co.kr] of the ID and and details of the misuse, to prevent any further losses.

(8) I wish to close my cash-point.
It is not possible to close your cash-point alone as the online membership is a condition precedent for the cash-point. As such, the cash-point can be closed at the same time as the online membership. After closing your membership, you neither have access to any information on the services and points nor get a refund on the points available.

(9) How can I charge the points in my cash-point?
The points can be charged through payments by credit cards (issued in Korea only) or a Korean mobile or transfer to a KTT bank account. Please go to [My Page > Charge of Cash-point] and select a means of payment.

(10) Points in cash-point were not charged even after payments are completed.
Payments by credit cards or mobile phones are immediately reflected in the points. However, payments made to a KTT bank account may take a short time to confirm. Please contact help@traveltimes.co.kr for any issues related to the charge of points.

(11) In case the points in cash-point were not correctly charged or discharged.
Please inform help@traveltimes.co.kr of ID, name, contact details, details of errors, date of use and so on. Your correct points will be reflected once it is confirmed that the errors are due to a system malfunction.

(12) How can people living in a foreign country purchase the points for cash-point?
Transfer the amounts to a KTT bank account and advise help@traveltimes.co.kr of the details of payments in order that your requests can be quickly actioned.

(13) What are free- and paid-contents?
Full text translations for a few selected key Korean articles on every Monday, and other full text translations provided on a user-request basis from headline translations of all Korean articles on KTT are charged for. Article search-service and headline translation are free for KTT online members.

(14) Are all contents in www.koreatraveltimes.co.kr charged for?
No. Article search-service and headline-translation are free for KTT online members.

(15) What is the charge of points in the cash-point?
Points can be charged in [My Page > Charge of Cash-point]. The charge will be completed with the selection of the amount of charge and a means of payment and click on [confirmation]. The amounts charged will be settled by the means you chose.

(16) How can I confirm the points used?
Details of points used for paid-services are available in [My Page >

(17) How can I confirm the points charged?
The details are available in [My Page > Details of Charge].

(18) For tax purposes, can I get a receipt or the account slip and details of payments for the amounts that I paid through cash-point?
They can be arranged within five days on an email request to help@traveltimes.co.kr.
